Sodium Bicarbonate

Description:  White crystalline powder with saline taste, odourless, with specific density of 2.20; soluble in water (solubility 9.6 at 20ºC), insoluble in alcohol; stable at ordinary temperature; when heated to 70ºC it begins decomposed, releases CO2 and becomes Na2CO3; discharges CO2 when reacting upon acids.
